We’ve had over an inch of rain from the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy. More is possible today. A flash flood watch has been canceled. The NWS has canceled the Tornado watch for our area. Strong storms are continuing and there are still some severe warning being issued but the tornado threat appears to be over. All repaired Thursday afternoon Twin power outages this afternoon in southern Floyd County has service out to 438 homes and businesses as of 2:30 p.m. Georgia Power hopes to have both back in service by 3 p.m. The area is off Ga. 101 near the Polk and Bartow county lines.  Outage map. Read more

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING: Storm total rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are possible for portions of north and central Georgia through Friday night. Locally higher amounts can be expected.
