Our rivers: Bartow County firefighters urge caution, citing ‘seven to eight water rescue calls on the (Etowah) river in the past two weeks.

  This has been a busy spring and early summer for the Bartow County Fire Department. Just a handful of customers were without power in the Summerville area Monday morning following a severe storm that swept the county. The National Weather Service has received reports of as many as 50 trees toppled by the afternoon storm.
