Smile Report: The Kiwanis Club of Rome celebrates 100 years

Media release: The Kiwanis Club of Rome celebrated this centennial anniversary at their weekly meeting Jan. 19. In attendance were local club members as well as Lt. Gov. Division 11 Jack Deaton and his wife Shelley. Festivities included reviewing historical photos from 1915 (the first Kiwanis club was chartered Jan. 21, 1915) and the announcement of Kiwanis Club of Rome’s special centennial project: committing 100 volunteer service hours to local Service Leadership Programs, and represents K-Kids, Builders Clubs, Key Leader, Key Clubs Circle K Clubs and Aktion Clubs.
