Floyd Police investigating police impersonator in Shannon area

From Floyd County Police: Police are investigating an impersonator who recently stopped a vehicle in Shannon. The suspicious person was observed driving a black Dodge Charger and stopped at least one driver in the area.

It is not uncommon for police to drive unmarked vehicles, however officers are required to provide badge number and present identification upon demand.
If you observe this vehicle we ask that you notify police and video or photograph the vehicle. If you are stopped and you feel suspicious use your mobile device to record the encounter.
