Cartersville Police: Motorcyclist crashes into residence following police chase

From Cartersville Police: At approximately 0052 hours on Saturday January 9, 2016 an Officer with the Cartersville Police Department observed multiple traffic violations which indicated a possible intoxicated operator of a motorcycle on West Avenue at Henderson Drive.

The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver continued on West Avenue failing to pull over.

The driver of the motorcycle, a white male, 39 years of age from Calhoun Georgia failed to negotiate any turn at the intersection of West Avenue and Etowah Drive, and the motorcycle crashed into the residence at 48 Etowah Drive.

The male was transported by EMS to Cartersville Medical Facility with serious injuries.
