Bartow man sustains second-degree burns; EMS believes he could have been smoking while using oxygen

 

Media release: Bartow County Emergency Medical Service responded to the Efficiency Lodge on Ga. 20 following a report of someone injured from burns. The EMS crew and an EMS supervisor arrived to find a 52-year-old man with burns to the face, chest and abdominal area that covered approximate 15 percent of his body. The burns were second-degree and Air Life was requested for transport to a burn center (Grady). The man possibly was smoking while using oxygen.
