Hometown Headlines and Harbin Clinic present Holiday Happenings, a digital magazine with details on parades, concerts, performances and live Nativity scenes across Northwest Georgia. Saturday
The fifth annual Rome Aerials gymnastics Roman Team Challenge is Saturday, Dec. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.With 140 gymnasts participating in 12 United States of America Gymnastics levels, the public is invited to attend the exhibition. Tickets, $5 for adults and $3 for kids 6-12 years old, will be available at the door. The Roman Team Challenge will be held at the Parks and Recreation Gymnastics Center at 1 Shorter Ave.
Trinity United Methodist Church in Rome will host a Visit with Santa: Santa will be making a stop at Trinity UMC on Saturday, Dec. 12th, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the parlor. Bring your camera to capture those magical moments with St. Nick. This event is open to the general public.
Tellus Science Museum’s Member Appreciation Day: “Member Appreciation Day is the perfect way to spend time with the family while enjoying members-only perks throughout the museum. The Polar Express will be bringing Santa Claus to town again this year, so be sure to bring your camera! There will also be various crafts and take-homes, other photo-ops, and solar viewing in the Observatory (weather permitting). If you want to get off your feet for a bit, head to the Theater to watch The Polar Express. Members get FREE planetarium tickets to any of the day’s shows, so take advantage of this opportunity and catch a showing of The Star of Bethlehem, Santa’s Secret Star orThe Live Tour of Tonight’s Sky.

Drive-through live Nativity at Spring Creek Baptist Church off Chulio Road in eastern Floyd County. Multiple scenes. Hours: 6-9 p.m. Free for all.
Sunday
The Hispanic Community of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will celebrate the annual Festival of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday. Commemorating the legend of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to a peasant farmer (now St. Juan Diego), the Festival starts at 12:30 p.m. with a procession featuring a float and attendants in native costume from St. Mary’s Catholic Church down Broad Street to The Forum. There will then be a bilingual Mass at 1:15 p.m. in The Forum, including a dramatic presentation of the Apparition. Following this, there will be a meal with Latino foods and dishes (donation of $8 per person requested), folkloric dancing, and Latin games and raffles. The events are open to the public and all members of the Greater Rome/Floyd County community are cordially invited.
