WRGA: Rome Police searching for suspects after BP store clerk stabbed
From WRGA: An armed robbery Friday night resulted in an injured store clerk at a local gas station.
According to Rome Police Sgt. Bryan Goresh, two black males entered the BP gas station on Cartersville Highway around 11 p.m. The men then left the store and came back in to rob it.
Sgt. Goresh said shelves had been knocked over showing signs of a struggle between the men and the store clerk, who was stabbed in the neck with an unknown object.
The men did not take any money, but got away with lottery tickets and cigarettes.
The clerk was taken by Floyd EMS and treated. He has been released.
Sgt. Goresh stated detectives are currently investigating the incident.
