Taping of ‘Kingmakers’ TV show delayed to Tuesday because of weekend rain
Media release: The Greater Rome Convention & Visitors Bureau and ABC Studios announce the taping of “The Kingmakers” originally scheduled for Sunday has been postponed to Tuesday, March 24, because of expected rainy weather conditions. The public is invited to watch and participate in filming that will take place on the Oostanaula River from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Spectators are asked to line the town green riverfront and pedestrian bridge to watch, and cheer on the rowing regatta that will take place on the river. For the best chance to be featured on TV, participants are encouraged to wear blue apparel without logos, brands, or school emblems. Additionally, participants are advised to avoid red, which is not a camera friendly color. There will be traffic delays at the following scheduled locations on Tuesday. There will be intermittent traffic control on Second Avenue and Fifth Avenue between Broad Street and West Third Street from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Traffic will be held up to 5 minutes and released as they are actively filming on the river. Other announcements for traffic delays will be released at a later date. For questions related to the public invitation to watch the filming, please contact Ann Hortman at the Greater Rome Convention and Visitors Bureau at 706.295.5576 or [email protected].
