The situation: You don’t need a police scanner to track all the accidents tonight. Check your friends’ Facebook pages for photos and updates of what they’ve seeing in their travels tonight. The snow is sticking and what’s on some area roads is glazing, causing slick spots. It won’t melt any time soon as temperatures have dropped to 27 degrees and won’t get above freezing until midmorning Saturday. Best bet: Stay at home tonight. Nothing is that vital to risk being on the roads. Reports are coming in from Martha Berry Highway, Ga. 101, Turner McCall, Broad Street, Shorter and elsewhere.
More reports of icy roads are coming in from Polk County, especially on opposite ends of U.S. 278. Also new reports of some sort of traffic issues near Emerson.
