Smile Report: Steve Jones patriotic display earns him a ‘Proudly We Hail’ honor
The Exchange Club of Rome’s Americanism Committee members found a rare and priceless example of patriotic display at the residence of Steve Jones. Steve is one of those determined individuals that has that intangible and inextinguishable character to overcome adversity. He also has that sense and spirit of duty, honor and country that has never been nor ever will be extinguished. You see, he is a quadriplegic and he is a proud American veteran. He has an American flag properly illuminated and displayed on the barn in his backyard that is a tribute and inspiration to all that gather, whether family, friends or both. His barn, his flag, his appreciation and continued fight for freedom won him the Proudly We Hail Award from the Exchange Club of Rome for 2015. The awards will be presented at noon Friday at the Exchange Club meeting at the Palladium.
