Tractor Supply is coming to Summerville, taking over nearly 21,300 square feet in the one-time home of Bi-Lo in Hurley Crossing near the new Bojangles, according to The Construction Journal. Bids on renovating the store are due by noon March 18. Tractor Supply has been growing in Northwest Georgia since the opening of the Rome store on U.S. 411 followed by the Cartersville location at 10 Ryan Blvd. There’s also a store on Ga. 53 in Calhoun.

As for the official word on a Summerville store: The deal is still official, based on these comments from Rob Hoskins, representing Tractor Supply:

“Our real estate department has informed me that there is no information to release about a potential new store location in Summerville, Ga., at this time. What we can say at this time is that, as a growth-minded company, Tractor Supply Co. is always looking for potential new store locations that are a good fit as far as the target market is concerned. Concerning a potential location in Summerville, this is especially true in that the area is attractive due to the part-time and hobby farmers, and horse owners in the area. The TSC product category expertise includes lawn and garden, and animal care products that service the needs of these customers.”
