ROME

The Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting for The Greystone Apartments, 90 E. 2nd Ave., on January 29 at 11 a.m.

From Rome First United Methodist: Wednesday, Jan. 27 Lou Cora’s BBQ Food Truck will be in our parking lot and ready to serve the public starting at 6 p.m. The location will be Rome First United Methodist Church Wilder Christian Life Center Parking Lot.

CARTERSVILLE

Please join The Callback Company in welcoming Tony Award winning Actor and Singer, Shuler Hensley, as he presents a Broadway Masterclass on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 12-3 p.m. at The Grand Theatre. Audience members of all ages will enjoy this opportunity to learn performance and audition practices as well as lyrical interpretation with one of the most celebrated stars of the American Musical Theater. The Cartersville Mardi Gras Benefit, proudly supported by Coosa Valley Credit Union, the Falany Performing Arts Center, and the Auto Parts Company, is only a couple of weeks away. Join us at the Cartersville Country Club at 7PM on Friday February 5th and enjoy a New Orleans dinner, festive dancing, and a splendid auction benefiting the Ascension Downtown Food Pantry and Backpack Buddies. Rockmart Cultural Arts Center Visual Arts Advisor Laura Robinson and her Committee are calling for artists 18 years or older for the next exhibit, “Foreign Travel”. No entry fee! The theme was decided as an opportunity for artists to share memories of traveling to other lands through their many artistic creations. All artistic medium accepted (paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, etc.) This event will be just in time for the annual Welsh Festival planned for March 19, 2016. “Foreign Travel” submissions are due no later than February 12, 2016. Please email photographs of up to three (3) pieces of art to be considered to [email protected] . In the subject line, please list your “LAST NAME, FIRST NAME – FOREIGN TRAVEL”. Please attach your photo files to the email and name them the same as the title of your piece for easy identification.
