Revised: Local work force grows by 500 jobs in April vs. same month last year; mixed report on first-time jobless claims across the Coosa Valley

Rome-Floyd County saw a 500-job increase in April vs. the same month last year, according to the Georgia Depratment of Labor. The labor force stood at 40,400, up from 39,900 a year earlier. That’s also a 300-job increase from March of this year. read more Read more
