Team Lane has leased the last spot in the new center created by the Alfords at 712 Broad St., formerly home to Expert Tire. This will be an independent real estate office, not associated with Keller Williams. It is the second new real estate office in downtown Rome in the past year. Hardy Realty also opened Hardy on Broad at the 440 Broad St. in the Forrest Building late last summer. The Team Lane contract fills the center, which also is the new home to Rome Cleaners, Cartridge World and Merry Maids. Also look for some final sprucing up there, including a new roof by Midian Roofing that got under way Sunday.

April 30: The Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce will host a Business Showcase at the Cartersville Civic Center, 435 W.
