Ms. Agnes Laura Bell Johnson, age 76, of 503 Brown St. SW of Rome, Ga. transitioned January 28, 2016. Services are incomplete. F. K. Jones Funeral Home has complete charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Jimmy L. Ragland, 67, of Rome, GA passed away. Services for Mr. Ragland are incomplete and will be announce at a later date. Wright Memorial Mortuary, Inc has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Barbara Ann Moreland Sullins of Kingston Highway, Kingston, GA 30145 passed away, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 following an extended illness. Mrs. Sullins was born in Bartow County (Atco), Georgia on August 4, 1932. She was the daughter of the late William (Bill) and Daisy Moreland. After graduating with an Associate’s Degree she worked as a bookkeeper with several companies for 50 years and worked at a Group Home for 4 years before retiring. Mrs. Sullins was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Lewis W. Sullins, her brother Thomas Moreland, her sister Mary Helen Moreland, brother-in-law Dennis Sullins, brother-in-law Prince Sullins and sister-in-law Bronnie Sullins, brother-in-law Gordon Sullins and sister-in-law Thelma Sullins, sister-in-law Viola Johnson, sister-in-law Maggie Rice, niece Micki Kaplan and very special friends Chris Jolly. She was of the Baptist faith. She leaves behind to remember her loving and kind heart, her daughter Cheryl Ann Sullins, special Nieces Theresa Wilson of Cartersville and Lenora Brown of Rome, niece Lannis Byars, nephew Thomas Pratt, and sister-in-Law Pauline Sullins. She will be missed by many special friends, including Randy & Cindy Tullos, and their children Aaron Tullos, Jason Tullos, Jonathan Tullos, and Katie Mitchell and by Evelyn Self. Honorary pallbearers will be, Roy Dutton, Wayne Nelson, Jim Stansell, Bruce Stansell, Ed Stansell, Rio Wlison, and William Jones. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Mizpah United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 4053 Kingston Hwy., Kingston, GA 30145.

The family will receive friends January 30, 2016 from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm at Mizpah United Methodist Church, with grave side services to follow. At other times the family may be contacted at the home of her daughter Cheryl Ann Sullins. Good Shepherd Funeral Home.

Patricia Wall, February 9, 1931-January 28, 2016. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 6 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home, 901 E. Second Ave. in Rome. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.

Mr. Miles Homer Watters, Sr., age 88, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Watters was born in Rome, September 29, 1927, son of the late Joseph G. Watters and the late Sadie Johnston Watters. He attended Rome City Schools and at the age of 18, enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served in the Pacific area from 1945 until 1947. After his discharge, he attended North Georgia Business School where he earned his GED. He was an employee of Georgia Power Company for 39 years, retiring in 1989 as the Rome Division Substation Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of Shanklin-Attaway American Legion Post #5, where he served as Commander for 2 terms, served on the Cook Committee and was a member of the Honor Guard for several years, folding the United States Flag at military funerals. He was also a member of the 40/8 and a member of Garden Lakes Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold (Buddy) Watters and by a sister, Annie Ruth Watters. Survivors include his wife, the former Louise Bradshaw, to whom he was married on February 11, 1950; a son, Miles Homer Watters, Jr., and his wife, Samantha, Heath OH; his grandchildren, Alex Watters, Covington, Amanda Watters, Senoia, and Addison Watters, Ohio; 2 sisters, Jeanette Watters and Merriam Fuqua, both of Rome; nieces, Susan and Kenneth Storey, Teresa and Buddy Reece, Brenda and Bill Abernathy, Janet and Frank Puffer; a nephew, Joseph “Butch” and Nelsa Fowler. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at 3pm at Garden Lakes Baptist Church with his pastor, the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the American Legion Post # 5 Honor Guard presenting full military honors. The family will receive friends at Garden Lakes Baptist Church on Sunday from 2pm until time for the service. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence. Members of the American Legion Post # 5 Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers. Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
