Rome City Schools: Rome City Schools will be in session on a regular schedule tomorrow, Thursday, January 21, 2016.

CARTERSVILLE/BARTOW COUNTY
Bartow County Schools: Bartow County Schools will be in session tomorrow, Jan. 21.
Cartersville City Schools: Cartersville City Schools plans to be open and operating on regular schedule on Thursday, January 21.
Excel Academy:
GORDON COUNTY
Gordon County Schools: Due to the threat of black ice and frozen roads and bridges that are likely to form in parts of the county overnight, Gordon County Schools will be delayed by 2 hours Thursday, January 21. Emergency personnel will continue monitoring weather conditions and communicate with school officials throughout the early morning hours. Should a complete cancellation be warranted, an announcement will be made prior to bus routes beginning on the delayed schedule. Twelve-month staff should report on time as conditions allow. Thank you for your patience as we continue to gather information to make the best decision for our staff and students.
Calhoun City Schools: Calhoun City Schools will be in session on Thursday, January 21, 2016 barring an overnight weather event such as heavy icing, etc. At this time we anticipate that weather conditions will allow for safe travel of students to and from school. Thank you for you patience and understanding as we continue to work with local officials to make decisions in the interest of student safety.
POLK COUNTY
Polk County Schools:
CHATTOOGA COUNTY
Chattooga County Schools: Chattooga County schools will be on a two-hour delay Thursday, according to The Summerville News.
Trion City Schools:
COLLEGES
- Shorter University: All campuses will resume a normal schedule on Thursday, Jan. 21.
- All Georgia Highlands College campuses will be open Thursday, Jan. 21st. Should delays or closings occur, notices will be updated by 6am via GHC Notify,highlands.edu, and on our social media pages. As always, use caution when traveling from your location as conditions may vary.
- Georgia Northwestern Technical College: All campuses are scheduled to be open as usual tomorrow, Thursday, January 21. If this changes in any way, we will share right here!
GOVERNMENT
- Because of the threat of bad weather, the Council of Chief Elected Officials Meeting scheduled for Jan. 21 at 10:30 a.m. has been postponed.
