Donna Kaye Ray Hilburn, age 61, of Rydal, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at a Rome hospital.
A native of Bartow County, Ms. Hilburn was born on August 25, 1954, daughter of the late Alton Hardy Ray and the late Viola Estelle Wilson Ray. She was a member of the White United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, Ms. Hilburn worked as a lab chemist for Philadelphia Carpet.
Survivors include a son, Gene Williams and his wife, Christi, Kingston; two daughters, Dawn Cody and her husband, Randall, Rydal, and Amanda Williams, Taylorsville; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; four sisters, Bobbie Foreman, Rhonda Childers, Patches Hollis, and Imajean Holcomb; a brother, Timmy Ray; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at 2pm in the Fellowship Hall at Northpointe Church in Adairsville.

James Lamar Bohannon, age 80 of Rome passed away Monday January 18, 2016 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday January 20, 2016, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Phil Wade, and Rev. Gary McAlister, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of the service on Wednesday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Mrs. Martha Shores Duncan, age 76, of Rome, GA passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Duncan was a native of Rome, born on July 21, 1939, daughter of the late William Alonzo Shores and Daisy Octavia Craig Shores. She was a graduate of Rome High School and a member of Mt. Alto Baptist Church. Martha loved animals and pets. She had many interests, such as, reading, drawing with colored pencils and working jigsaw puzzles. Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Farrell Duncan, to whom she was married for 23 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Lynn Taylor (Mario); grandchildren, Traci Amanda Taylor, William Alexander Taylor; a great-grandchild, Martha-Alice Miriam Taylor; two sisters, Faye Melton of Seattle, WA and Kathy Savage (Bobby) of Marietta, GA and a brother, William Shores (Frankie) of Dacula, GA.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
