From The Summerville News: “A local businessman wants to open a restaurant in Lyerly but first he wants the Town Council to give him a pouring license for beer and wine. Last week, the council tentatively agreed to the idea. Council voted unanimously to provide a “letter of intent” showing its support if and when the Patels provided acceptable plans for renovations of the proposed site. T.J. “Tony” Patel, who already owns a liquor store and convenience store in the town, wants to team with his sister, Nita Patel, to open a steak and seafood restaurant in the old Lucky’s Grocery Store building which Patel owns. The building is currently vacant.” Summerville News
