Mr. Eddie Neal of 1012 Lake St., Cedartown, GA passed on Thursday, December 31, 2015. Funeral details are incomplete. F. K. Jones Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Gary Marvin Scoggins, age 72 of Shannon, passed away Tuesday December 29, 2015 at his residence. Gary was born May 31, 1943, in Floyd County, a son of the Marvin “Buddy” Scoggins, and Rebecca Scott Scoggins. He attended New Antioch Baptist Church. Gary owned and operated Scoggins Electric Motors, he was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. Survivors include sons, Marty (Sharon) Scoggins, Trion; Spencer Scoggins, Shannon; daughter, Veronica (Vincent) Moreno, Rome; sister, Brenda (Terry) Gordon, Shannon; grandchildren, Stephany Patterson, Nick Ramsey, Harley Long, Spencer Scoggins, Jr. Jordan Poe, step grandchildren, Evan Moreno, Jenna Moreno, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Saturday January 2, 2016, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Russell, and Vincent Moreno, officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery, with Shaklin-Attaway Post Five Honor Guard of the American Legion conducting full military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Saturday, at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
