‘Executive summary’ of today’s flood updates:
-25 evacuated in Gordon County overnight.
-New photos and video (Armuchee Connector floods) added at 10 a.m.
-Another inch of rain fell on Rome/Floyd County on Monday with at least that much more due again Wednesday. Clear skies most of today. Updated hazardous weather forecast at 10:30 a.m.
-Flooded rivers and creeks are rising again but not at an alarming rate. Flood warning for the Oostanaula (Rome) extended until late Saturday. Flood watch remains in effect.
-Road closings continue across the region; we awaiting updates from area governments. Updated since 9 this morning.
-Funeral arrangements are pending in Summerville for one of two of the flood water victims in Gordon County; still no updated release from the sheriff’s office there.
