Smile Report: Redmond nurse Angie Terry wins fourth quarter DAISY Award

Congratulations to Angie Terry, RN – Oncology (pictured center) Redmond’s fourth quarter DAISY Award winner. Nominations citing exemplary nursing care were received from patients, families, visitors and co-workers. Seven additional Honorable Mention awards were also presented. And we were honored to have DAISY Foundation VP and Co-Founder, Tina Barnes Carraher

 

Media release: Redmond Regional Medical Center announces that Angie Terry, RN (Oncology) is the fourth quarter recipient of The DAISY Award at Redmond Regional Medical Center. The DAISY Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. The foundation recognizes nurses for examples of extraordinary care through the presentation of The DAISY Award.

Redmond’s DAISY Award selection committee reviewed nominations received during the past three months; nominations were submitted by patients, families, visitors and co-workers. The committee also named seven Honorable Mention Awards: Jason Aldridge, Emergency Room; Lisa Dempsey, Oncology; Mattie Garrett, third floor; Haley Monteith, oncology; Megan Morris, fourth floor ext/Joint Center; Rebekah Oliver, fourth floor/Surgical Services; and Allie Prine, third floor.

DAISY recipients are presented a small sculpture, The Healer’s Touch, that symbolizes the relationship among nurses, patients and families. As part of the fourth quarter DAISY Award presentation, Redmond also unveiled a large version of The Healer’s Touch sculpture featured in a courtyard in front of the hospital.
