Updated photos: Big weekend for soccer as Arsenal team nets the tournament championship.

Some Arsenal Academy teams began the tournament season at the 2015 Challenger Cup in Atlanta over the weekend. They came away with an 11-7 record, 1 champion, and 2 runners up. That puts their season record at 49-53-9.
The B10 Red won their division. They went undefeated throughout the tournament claiming the championship on Sunday afternoon. They beat Inter Atlanta 3-1 Saturday morning with goals coming from Christian Blanco, Jacob Cumbie, and Grayson Perry (with an assist from Yahir Pineda). Later that morning they beat Liberty SC 3-2 with goals coming from Pineda (assist Perry), and Junior Arteaga (2). On Sunday morn they beat Decatur Dekalb SA 7-0 with a hat trick from Cumbie (3) (1 assisted by Perry), a brace from Perry (2, assist Cumbie), Elijah Marshall (assist Pineda), and Pineda (assist Maddox Pyle). That qualified them for the Championship game with the Columbus Rangers, which they won 4-0. Goals came from Blanco, Pineda (2, assists from Arteaga and Blanco), and Perry (assist Marshall.).
The B10 White came away with a 0-3 record. They lost to SSA Northside 5-0, the Columbus Rangers 1-0, and Franklin County 5-2. Goals came from Giovany Gonzalez.
The B9 Red took it to the finals in their division but lost to Decatur Dekalb Wolves Elite 5-4. On Saturday they beat GA Rush White 7-1 and MAYS Blue 9-2. Sunday they beat Concorde Fire Central Silver 5-2 to qualify for the championship game, which they dropped to Decatur.
The B9 White went 1-2 over the weekend. They won their first game Saturday 4-2 against MAYS Blue then lost to Concorde Fire Central Silver 7-3 and on Sunday to Decatur Dekalb Wolves Elite 5-1.
The B12 Red also took it to the final game, but they were playing up in the Under 13 division. On Saturday they beat GA Rush Grey 1-0 and MAYS White 3-2. Sunday they beat Inter Atlanta 4-1 to qualify for the final which they dropped to MAYS Blue 3-2.
Arsenal Rome’s Select teams made up a lot of games this past weekend posting a 2-5-1 record. That gives them a season record of 27-32-10.
The B14 played in the U15 division of the Challenger Cup and finished 1-0-2. Saturday they tied GA Rush Azul 1-1. Andreas Svardh scored on a PK. They then beat the Columbus Rangers 6-0 with goals from Svardh, Angel Barboza, Greyson Padgett, Jordan Dupree, and 2 from Christian Fonseca Cornejo. On Sunday they tied Covington 1-1 on a PK from Fonseca. Covington won the division on points.
The B15 won their division at the CASL tournament in Raleigh NC. Saturday they beat Severna Park from Maryland 4-3 and the Columbus Crew from Ohio 3-2. They have 3 more games to play in their regular season.
In regular season action the G13 tied UFA Norcross 1-1 Friday night and lost to the Atlanta Fire 3-1 Sunday. They finish with a 2-8-2 record in last place and the relegation zone.
The G17 lost to MAYS Green 2-1. They finished in fourth place with a 4-5-1 record.
The B16 lost to SSA 3-0 on Saturday and Decatur 1-0 on Sunday. That drops them to ninth out of 13 with 3 games to play.
The B17 beat the Atlanta Fire 6-3 to finish in sixth place with a 4-4-1 record.
The B19 lost to AFC Lightning on Saturday 2-0 and the Cherokee Impact 3-1 on Sunday. That makes their season record 6-3-2 and drops them to fourth place, out of promotion. Angel Morente finished with 12 goals for second in the division but first for Arsenal Rome winning the club’s Golden Boot award.
