In January 2016, we’ll begin our 12th year of delivering Northwest Georgia’s most critical news and weather information to your laptop, desktop and smart phones.

Our websites cover Rome/Floyd County, Bartow County, Polk County and Gordon County as well as local dining.

We average more than 9,000 page impressions a day — and that’s not counting our Facebook, Twitter and radio audiences.

WHAT WE OFFER

CUBE ADS:

-For $350 a month, your add will appear on all Hometown pages: Buzz, Sports, Dining, Business, Health, area links and more. Size: 144 by 144 pixels.

-‘Rectangle’ ads: Double your exposure on the left or right side of the page. Cost: $525 a month. Size: 288 by up to 144 pixels.

-Quad ad: Four times the size of our traditional cubes. $700 a month

-Added bonus: You can blink or flash your ad up to four times (more if desired but we recommend no more than four) for this price. No add-on fees.

BANNER ADS AND OUR NEW ‘BRANDING’:

-For $400 a month, you become a page sponsor. Your ad will appear in the banner spot under our logo and it links our readers to your website or Facebook page immediately. You pick the page; we offer one banner per page. New with our redesign: You can “brand” news topics. For example, the banner spot on Dining will appear with every restaurant story we publish.

NO PRORATED ADS

Effective Oct. 1, we no longer offer prorated ads. The minimum cost for any ad is now $300, from one to 28 days.

DAILY EMAIL ALERTS

Every morning, more than 1,000 people receive our morning headline alerts via email. This is not spam. Every email address we send to has been submitted by someone asking to receive it. More than 90 percent of our emails go to addresses in Northwest Georgia. The rest flow to Atlanta, Washington, D.C., or to the homes of former residents of our community. They also rely on Hometown Headlines to stay in touch with local news.

‘THE CRAWL’ (text or photos)

New atop our home page is The Crawl, a moving text message or series of photos/images for our advertisers. You can buy it for a week, a month or a year. You can change the message daily. The fee/text: $25 a day or $125 for seven days. The fee/photos (up to 10): $50 per day or $250 for a week (seven days)

AD CREATION FEES:

-We outsource ad creation. Fees normally range from $50 to $75 an hour. Ad creation costs are added to the terms of your contract. You then own the ad for use on any website you choose in addition to our own. There is no handling fee charged by Hometown.
