We’re awaiting information on funeral arrangements. The Russells were heading home to Adairsville on Ga. 140 when a pickup truck on the wrong side of the road collided head-on Sunday evening, authorities say.
From the Georgia State Patrol:
The Georgia State Patrol in Cartersville has charged Michele Blum, age 47, from Adairsville in connection with the fatal crash last night on Georgia Highway 140 near the Floyd County line. She has been charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, serious injury by vehicle, driving on the wrong side of the road and driving without headlights.
The 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck she was driving hit a 2007 Mercedes E350 head-on that resulted in the death of Nim Bernal Russell, age 55, from Adairsville. Julia Russell, Michele Blum and a passenger in her truck, Charles Louis Blum III, were taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment. Blum is still hospitalized.
