Model girls basketball assistant coach Robby Dooley has been named Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Coosa High School, according to an announcement by Principal LaDonna Turrentine.

In addition to coaching basketball, Dooley will also be a PE teacher at Coosa High School starting the 2018-2019 school year. He is currently a special education teacher at Model Elementary School and has coached girls’ basketball with Sally Echols at Model High for the last 13 years, including appearances in the state final four championships the last two seasons.

Coach Dooley is an 89′ graduate of Pepperell High School. He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2004. Coach Dooley also served in the Army for eight years from 1997-2004 and was part of “Iraqi Freedom”. He and Coach Echols are entering their 13th year coaching together. Coach Dooley is a special education teacher at Model Elementary School, has coached middle school football for 8 years, and also coaches high school football. Coach Dooley is married to Kelly Graham Dooley and they have two daughters, Reagan who is 17 and Riley who is 14. Coach Dooley enjoys spending time with family and church related activities
