Woman, 33, dies from injuries in Friday night accident on Blacks Bluff Road. Funeral set for Monday afternoon.

Amber Yother died early Saturday following a late-night accident on Blacks Bluff Road, according to Deputy Coroner Connie Chandler.

Yother, 33, a passenger in a truck, apparently was ejected following the collision and sustained blunt force trauma injuries, Chandler said.

The accident occurred around 11 p.m. Friday; Yother was pronounced dead at 2:30 p.m. at Floyd Medical Center, she said.


Amber Revae Huggins Yother, age 33, of Rome died early Saturday morning, April 7, 2018, following injuries sustained in a traffic accident.

A native of Rome, Amber was born November 18, 1984. She was employed as a waitress with the International House of Pancakes.

Survivors include her children Emma, Logan, Bryson, Gavin and Hayden; sisters Nicole Jordan and Kayla Phillips.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 until 1:45 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
