-From Berry: “With rain expected Saturday morning, the Berry College baseball and softball teams have announced time changes for the upcoming weekend. Both teams will now play a single game on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. and their doubleheader on Sunday beginning at noon. Softball’s senior day recognition will begin at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. Baseball’s senior day events will begin around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.”

OUTLOOK

Freeze watch overnight Saturday (through 10 a.m. Sunday):   The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Freeze Watch, which is in effect from midnight Saturday through Sunday morning, mainly along and north of a line from Carrollton to Marietta to Cleveland. Freezing temperatures will likely damage tender plants that have already sprouted, budded or flowered.

A strong storm system will move into north and central Georgia Monday bringing scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms.

FORECAST

Friday Night: Showers, mainly after 1am. Low around 52. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday: Showers, mainly before 2pm. High near 58. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 62.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.
