Business: Armuchee’s new RaceTrac to open late May/early June. Progress underway for DiPrima’s Shoes expansion.

The gas tanks are in and the parking lot is being prepped for the RaceTrack coming to Martha Berry and the Armuchee Connector in this photograph from Ernie ‘The Kman’ Studard on Wednesday morning.

Look for the new RaceTrac in Armuchee to open late May or early June. The 5,500 square-foot store will feature a Swirl World frozen dessert station, an expanded coffee bar with six brews of coffee and free WiFi. “Our newer stores also have a more shoppable layout, ample seating, and more lighting in the store and parking lot to deliver a better guest experience,” says Liz McIntyre with RaceTrac.

RaceTrac will employ 20 to 25 people and you can find out about employment opportunities at www.racetrac.com.

This photo, from Tuesday, shows progress under way at the DiPrima’s Shoes store (see the Movies at Berry Square, upper left).
