Harbin Clinic is closing its Vitality Fitness center off Redmond Road by the end of June. Members on Monday were emailed an announcement from Kenna Stock, Harbin’s chief executive officer, about the decision.
The clinic cites the need for more room for existing services as one of the factors behind the decision.
A copy of the announcement to members appears below:
“As a valuable member, we are writing to let you know that Vitality Fitness will close at the end of June. It is never easy to make a decision to close a part of our business but we always strive to keep the overall strength of Harbin Clinic in mind. Many of our medical departments in Rome and our other locations are growing and need room.
“We know that Vitality has played an important role in your lives, and it has been our pleasure to serve you. Harbin Clinic remains committed to the health and wellness of all the people of Northwest Georgia. We will continue the Harbin race series with the Rome Floyd Parks and Rec Department, along with other free fitness opportunities such as our popular Walk With a Doc series every third Saturday at 9 a.m. at Bridgepoint Plaza between April and November. Additionally, we offer classes in health, nutrition and management of certain conditions and diseases throughout the year. You can find details about programs as they are announced on our website and social media.
“If you have paid in advance for a full year, we will refund the appropriate prorated portion of your annual dues. Your reimbursement will automatically be processed and mailed to the address on file with Vitality Fitness in June. If you have any questions about the reimbursement of your membership dues, please talk with David Strain, Vitality Fitness Manager.
“Thank you again for entrusting Harbin Clinic and Vitality Fitness with your health and wellness. David and the Vitality team look forward to seeing you often in the next few months.
