Rome Police: Highlands River employee charged with sexual assault of patient.

Media release: On Feb. 1, Highland Rivers staff members were advised that an employee was possibly having inappropriate relations with a patient at their facility. Upon further investigation, they discovered that the employee was a nursing assistant.

Management at Highland Rivers immediately notified the Rome Police Department of the allegations. Upon completion of an investigation with the assistance of Highland Rivers management, it is alleged that Mr. Bobby Greer, 50,  did violate the patient’s trust of care while under his watch.

On Feb. 6, Greer was arrested and charged with one count of O.C.G.A. 16 – 6- 5.1 for Sexual Assault by person with supervisory or disciplinary authority against a patient.
