Girls: Rome is no. 10 in 5A with a 21-4 record while Model is no. 7 in 2A with a 20-3 record.

 

 

The AA regional boys and girls basketball tournaments will be played at Model High School beginning Monday. Here are the early brackets and times courtesy of Kevin Strickland of Model High:

Rome High School’s Boys 200m medley relay team wins 1st place in the Class 1A-5A of the GHSA Swimming and Diving Championships taking place this weekend at Georgia Tech. Team members include Samson Mumber, Mason Hunter, Kent Schirmacher and Kenta Davis. Calhoun High School’s Boys Swim Team also did well finishing state runner-up overall in Class 1A-5A.

Other Top 10 swimming results for Rome High:

Mason Hunter– 1st place, Boys 200 Individual Medley. Time: 1:53.41

Samson Mumber- 3rd place, Boys 100 Backstroke. Time: 50.94

Mason Hunter– 1st place, Boys 100 Breaststroke. Time: 54.28 (which is a new state record)

7th place, Boys 400 Freestyle relay. Time: 3:17.89.

 

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
