We don’t know where or exactly when yet but a new development agreement with Fazoli’s franchising system includes three restaurants in metro Atlanta — Rome, Kennesaw and Canton. The timetable is to open the restaurants in late 2018 and early 2018.
The Rome location is part of an 11-restaurant package associated with five franchisees assembled at year’s end. Two are included in Alabama, one each in Mobile and Pratville.
The Rome/Canton/Kennesaw franchisee is Amit Patel who, according to Fazoli’s public relations team Fish Consulting, already owns hotels and convenience stores throughout the area. Location scouting is under way.
The closest Fazoli’s is in Fort Oglethorpe; you can view its menu here. The menu covers a lot of the standard Italian fare: Spaghetti, other pasta, pizzas, subs, salads and such. Prices are mostly in the $7 range for pastas with $11 pizzas. The hours in Fort O are 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. most days, until 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
The company has 220 restaurants in 27 states at this time. The company was founded in Lexington, Ky., in 1988, and is based there.
