Mrs. Patricia (Pat) Story Cargle, age 66, of Rome passed away on January 6, 2018.
Mrs. Cargle was born on February 22, 1951 to the late Tommy Cliford Duncan and Evelyn Wood Duncan. Mrs. Cargle worked at Walmart Deli in the bakery department for several years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Cargle married Danny Story in 1969 and had the following children: Christopher (Suzanne) Story, Danny (Tonya) Story of Plainville, Chadwick (Lynn) Story of Lindale, and Amy Story Freeman of Rome.
Mrs. Cargle married Arlene Wayne Cargle in 1979 and had the following children: Travis (Crystal) Cargle of Panama City Beach Florida, Nikki and Jessie Akins, Jesse and (Wendie) Cargle of Louisiana.
Mrs. Cargle is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Micah Akins, Sara Hammonds, Colby Hammonds, Chadwick Story the 2nd, Rebecca Cagle, Hanna Story, Makena Freeman, Britni Freeman, C.J. Freeman Clark, Eric Story, Kaitlyn Cannon, Brian Story, Justin Story, Breanna Rodriguez, Mariah Cargle, Blane Cargle, Brice Cargle, and by 6 great-grand children, by 2 brothers, Marty Duncan, Lindale, David Duncan, Cedartown, 3 sisters, Joann Edwards, Linda Mabry, and Julie Duncan, all of Rome.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Stamey and Rev. Bill Towe officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The family received friends on Tuesday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
Pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, and include: Chad Clark, Jesse Cargle, Brandon Akins, Jeffary Akins, Eric Story, and C.J. Freeman Clark.
