Mr. Anthony David Robinson, age 65, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at a local hospital.
Mr. Robinson was born in Rome, Georgia on May 11, 1952, son of the late Fred Robinson and the late Edith Lovell Robinson.
He retired as first sergeant with the U. S. Army Reserves. He later retired as a Captain with the Rome Fire Department and as Assistant Director of TSB Loss Control.
Mr. Robinson received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Cincinnati. He was a member of the Sunny Hill Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #5.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Roach Robinson; a daughter, Kelli Robinson Baker, Lindale; two grandchildren, Wade Baker and Sophia Baker; a brother, Alan Robinson; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Clements officiating. The American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard will present military honors.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m.
Members of the Rome Fire Department will serve as pallbearers and are asked to assemble at Georgia National Cemetery on Friday at 1 p.m.
Miss Mary Ann Woods, age 45, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at a local hospital.
Miss Woods was born in Floyd County, Georgia on November 15, 1972, daughter of Mary Louise Highfield Woods and the late Clifton Johnny Woods. She was also preceded in death by a brother, R. B. “Duke” Woods.
Survivors include a daughter, April Woods and her husband, Jeremy, Rome; her mother, Mary Woods, Rome; a sister, Betty Smith, Rome; a brother, Jeff Woods, Rome; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private. Please contact the family for times and dates.
Jeremy Woods, Jeff Woods, Timmy Smith, Richard Barnes, Kevin Brown, Tanner Redden and Micah Thomas will serve as pallbearers.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Christine Ann Hickman, age 68, of Cartersville, passed away, on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Cartersville Medical Center.
Mrs. Hickman was born in San Francisco, CA, on December 29, 1949, daughter of the late, Thomas Charles Morch and the late Frances Mae Bowden Morch. She was a former employee of Information Resources and was a former Registration Clerk for Floyd Medical Center. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include 3 sons, Steven Hickman (Heather), Matt Hickman (Melissa) all of Rome and Tom Hickman (Jordan), Bogart, GA; a brother, Michael Morch of Lebanon, Oregon; 8 Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel. Entombment will follow in California at a later date.

A native of Marceline, Missouri, Mrs. Ross was born March 17, 1940 daughter of the late Fred Franklin Landreth and Nola Lorene Richardson Landreth. She was employed for several years as a hospital housekeeping supervisor in Gardner, Kansas, while her husband was overseas with the United States Navy. Mrs. Ross was a devoted mother and loved cats and dogs and kids. She always had a big smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry Franklin Landreth, and sister Ruby Lorene Lang.
Survivors include her husband Glenn Raymond Ross, of Taylorsville; four sons Leslie Fred Ross (LeeAnn), Bruce Allen Ross (Gail),Kenneth Raymond Ross( Kellie Harper) and Brian Neal Ross(Christy); a brother David Fred Landreth(Jackie). Grandchildren Chad, Matthew, Jason, Beau, Tyler, Amber, Brook, Mark, Daniel, Erica, Kurt, Jacob, and Kristen, along with great grandchildren Lane, Matthew, Talynn, Gavin, and Sebastian.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in the Chapel of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave., Rome, with Reverend Tommy Harris officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Georgia National Cemetery near Canton. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral Home.
