More than 70 benefit from ‘Warmth of June.’ Here’s an update on our Dec. 24 story about the “Warmth of June.” Tatum June, a 7-year-old McHenry Primary student, had a Christmas wish of collecting donated blankets for homeless men and women of our community. Collection bins were out a area businesses through Friday and distribution was held New Year’s Day. Here’s a report from her mother, Jenn Cronan: “We had an incredibly successful and awe inspiring morning. Tatum June was able to get her wish fulfilled and spread the Warmth of June to approximately 70 people in our community. Everyone we met today was so appreciative of the blankets. Again, we thank all of our community partners… we couldn’t have done it without you all and God’s blessings! Happy New Year.” Our original story / for more on Warmth of June
