Buzz: Latest look at the Christmas Parade lineup. Wright to discuss the Berry Center for Integrity in Leadership at Rotary today. Rec board meets. And meet the ‘Justice League’ champions.

 

The Rome Christmas Parade committee has posted the second line-up for the Nov. 28 event. You can view it by tapping here. If your name is not on the line-up list, and you have sent in an application, please e-mail Janetrome@bellsouth.net. An updated list will be posted during the week. Late registration is available at $100 per entry. Also: Look for the parade’s grand marshal to be named on Tuesday, Nov. 21. The parade itself begins at 6:30 p.m. at Broad Street and First Avenue and ends by City Hall. The rain date is Thursday, Nov. 30. Expanded details.

Rome Seven Hills Rotary will meet at noon today at Coosa Country Club. Buster Wright with the Berry Center for Integrity in Leadership will be the speaker.

The Rome Floyd Parks and Rec Advisory Board meets today in the conference room at the main office at 1 Shorter Ave. Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting at noon.

On Saturday, Nov. 11, officers from the Adairsville Police Department along with officers from Polk County Police Department, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and Rome Police Department won first place in the first Justice League Softball Tournament sponsored by the District Attorney Rosemary Greene, Cherokee Judicial Circuit. The event was held at the Lake Point in Emerson. Proceeds will benefit Harrison, son of Cody and Sierra Satterfield, who was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
