Pedestrian, 47, struck near Coosa High School Monday night. State Patrol: No charges will be filed.

From the Georgia State Patrol:

“A pedestrian, Phillip Mulkey, 47, of Rome, was walking in the inside eastbound lane of Ga. 20. He was struck by a Chevy Malibu traveling eastbound, driven by Kimberly Butler, 46 of Rome. Mr. Mulkey was transported to Floyd Medical Center for treatment. There will be no charges filed at this time.”

Floyd Medical Center reports he was treated in ER and later released.

EARLIER

A pedestrian was struck on Ga. 20 in front of Coosa High School around 9 p.m. Monday, according to area residents and initial reports from Floyd E-911. We have an email into the Georgia State Patrol for updates and will post the report as soon as it is available.
