Media release: The Georgia Department of Labor will help employers in northwest Georgia recruit a number of manufacturing workers in Calhoun, Rome and Rockmart.
On Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 6-7, the GDOL’s Rome Career Center will conduct recruitments for Racemark International, a manufacturer and distributor of automobile floor mats and seats. Both recruitments will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the company’s facility located at 1711 U. S. Highway 41 in Calhoun. Staff from the career center will be available to assist the job seekers.
Racemark is recruiting sewing machine operators, packing line workers, and industrial maintenance technicians. All applicants for the positions must have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), with work experience ranging from one to three years.
On Nov. 8, the GDOL’s Rome Career Center will host a recruitment for Marglen Industries, a Rome company that recycles soda bottles into fibers and resins. The event will be held from 1-3 p.m. at the career center located at 462 Riverside Parkway. The company has about 20 job openings for manufacturing associates.
On Nov. 13, representatives of CDI Corp., a business development company, will be recruiting production workers for a manufacturing facility in Rockmart.
Because of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations all manufacturing workers must be at least 18 years old.
