Friday: Special purpose tax pros and cons, the subject of a special two-segment. Floyd County Manager Jamie McCord and Rome City Manager Sammy Rich will join us from 7:40 until 8:30 a.m. The SPLOST proponents have asked to join us under the conditions that the interview is not designed to “promote” the tax. This will be a news interview with the guests addressing up to $63.8 million in projects proposed for funding by extending the current one-penny sales tax. The interview will address the projects and all the questions that have been asked about each.
