This Google image shows the former car wash location off U.S. 41 in Adairsville where the drive-through Bojangles is rising.

Wayne Robinson building drive-through Bojangles in Adairsville: Work is under way on a drive-through Bojangles from Rome restaurant owner Wayne Robinson. It is rising on the site of a former car wash at U.S. 41 and Piedmont Road just below the Ga. 140 intersection. Robinson hopes to have the restaurant open by the first or second week of December. It’s the latest in his portfolio of Bojangles.

Robinson also is continuing work on the “Vogue” building at Broad Street and Fourth Avenue. He says prep work for two upstairs lofts continues while negotiations continue for a restaurant in the bottom floor in the red hot 200 block. The word on the street is an upscale dining experience.

Another ‘escape’ pending for Rome? If at this week’s Coosa Valley Fair, take a turn through “Moonshiner Bob’s Lost Cabin Escape Room,” a fund-raiser for the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office. We’re hearing plans for a permanent escape room in Rome are in the works.  More soon.
