Business: Georgia Power’s Regional External Affairs Manager Toni Hannah leaving this fall for new area position in Atlanta

Georgia Power’s Northwest Region External Affairs Manager Toni Jackson Hannah will soon be leaving her post in Rome. Hannah, who has been in Rome for the last three years, currently coordinates and executes region-wide initiatives, external strategy and goals, charitable giving budget and region communications for the 15 counties in Northwest Georgia.

But as of November, she will be the Area Manager for the Metro East Side of Atlanta. “It’s a very similar role to my current one, but with an expanded scope of responsibility. I’ll be managing external relationships in that area with state, local and federal-elected officials, key business leaders and organizations, key community and civic leaders, as well as primary, secondary and higher education institutions in that area,” says Hannah.

In the past, she has had many other roles with Georgia Power, including business and information manager and talent management programs manager. Before joining Georgia Power, she worked for Georgia Pacific LLC and The Coca-Cola Company. She holds a bachelor of Science in Communications from Western Carolina University.
