Media release: Lillie Dean of Silver Creek has won a prize playing a Georgia Lottery Print n Play game. Dean recently snagged $25,000 playing the “Bling Bling Bucks” instant game. Southern Pride Food Mart, at 3124 Rockmart Road in Rome, sold the winning ticket. According to Dean, she was making a stop at the store with her husband when she decided to try her luck.  “I had a lucky feeling she said,” she said. “I just wanted to get some tickets.”  After purchasing two Print n Play games and discovering that one was a winner, Dean said that she was in disbelief. “I called my husband over to help me count,” she said. “I just needed to validate that I had won.” The 46-year-old certified nursing assistant said that she plans to use her winnings to pay some bills. “I was so happy,” she said. Dean claimed her prize last week at the Georgia Lottery’s Dalton District Office.

Tara Inman, Darlington’s dean of students for global education, is one of six educators from around the country to be named to the National Association of Independent Schools Global Ambassadors Advisory Working Group. “This advisory role is affirming of the work that I’ve been doing in education for more than 20 years,” said Inman. “The more I’ve gotten into this position, the more I realize that there is so much more to learn about international students. As I connect with other educators at conferences and through organizations like NAIS, I realize that I am not alone. Being a part of this working group will give me an opportunity to help answer some important questions for independent schools as it relates to international students and education.” Expanded release
