Business: Bartow County saw 152 homes sold last month, more than Floyd and Gordon combined. Also, average sales price was $207,000, up 18.3% from July 2016.

July home sales reports are out for Floyd, Bartow and Gordon counties with a total of 269 homes sold — but each county saw a dip in sales vs. the same month a year ago.

The average prices of homes sold in all three counties continued to climb with Cartersville at $207,000 followed by Floyd at $188,642 and Gordon at $139,000.

The Greater Rome Board of Realtors uses data from the Georgia Multiple Listing Service. The July report shows:

  • Total single family home sales: 86 (7.5% decrease)
  • Median sales price: $155,000 (15.2% increase)
  • Average sales price: $188,642 (17.7% increase)
  • Total active listings: 399 (17.2% decrease)
  • New listings: 133 (3.1% increase)
  • Month’s Supply: 4.7 (21.6% decrease)

The Bartow County report, provided by First Multiple Listing Service, shows:

  • Total single family home sales: 152 (12.6% decrease)
  • Median sales price: $166,000 (7.1% increase)
  • Average sales price: $207,000 (18.3% increase)
  • Total active listings: 360 (5.3% decrease)

The Gordon County report, provided by First Multiple Listing Service, shows:

  • Total single family home sales: 31 (13.9% decrease)
  • Median sales price: $140,000 (14.8% increase)
  • Average sales price: $139,000 (13% increase)
  • Total active listings: 138 (16.23% decrease)
