Rome City Commissioner Jamie Doss, currently serving as mayor, seeks new term.

Veteran Rome City Commissioner Jamie Doss, also serving as Rome’s mayor, will see a new term in November. That means all three commissioners up for re-election are running including Wendy Davis and Sue Lee. All represent Ward Two.

Media release from Jamie Doss: After much thought and prayer, I have decided to seek re-election to the Rome City Commission.

Rome is a unique place to call home. We have a vibrant downtown, great schools, major medical facilities, vital community and government partnerships, strong neighborhoods, and an improving local economy.

City Manager Sammy Rich and his dedicated workforce are doing an excellent job. The City of Rome is very fortunate is have such a team.

The continued progress of our community requires teamwork, stewardship, and leadership.  As an elected official, these are values I hold in high regard.

I trust the voters and hope to continue serving this thriving city.
