Scattered thunderstorms are expected. A few strong storms are possible. The primary hazards will be gusty winds, frequent lightning and very heavy rainfall. With soils at or approaching saturation across much of north and central Georgia, localized flooding is possible.

Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 2pm and 3pm. Patchy dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Heat index values as high as 98. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
