Mrs. Sonia Lee Coleman, age 50, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Coleman was born in Walker County on December 7, 1966, daughter of Rev. John Huffman and Shelia Garrett Huffman. She was a graduate of Model High School in the class of 1986. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and had been employed by Holiday Inn & Suites as a desk clerk.
Survivors include her husband, Brad Coleman; a daughter, Samantha Ringrose (Aaron), Rome; her parents, Rev, John and Shelia Huffman, Armuchee; 3 sisters, Kimberly Johnston, Johnnie Guerrero (Juan), and Angie Neal (Calvin) all of Rome; her mother-in-law, Jeanette Hatt, Shannon; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Bible Baptist Church with her father, Rev. John Huffman and Rev. Frankie Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Bible Baptist Church on Wednesday from noon until time for the service. At other hours, they may be contacted at the parent’s residence, 634 Floyd Springs Road, Armuchee.
Pallbearers serving are asked to assemble at Bible Baptist church Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and include Michael Coleman, Scott Hight, James Coleman, Johnny Hight, Calvin Neal and Juan Guerrero

Mrs. Mary Delane Molock Grisham, age 65, of Rome, passed away Sunday morning, August 6, 2017, at her residence.
Mrs. Grisham was born in Floyd County on September 2, 1951, daughter of the late Oscar Molock and the late Annie Dell Garrison Molock.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Chester Grisham, by a son, Shawnn Molock, by a sister, Sondra Allen, and by six brothers, Hugo, Robert, William, Howard, Danny, and Billy Joe Molock.
Prior to her becoming ill, she was employed with Fred’s on Redmond Circle for over 11 years. She was a member of Community Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Shelly Grisham, Cedartown; 2 sons, David Ashley Grisham, and his wife, Kelsey, Rome, and Steven Dale Grisham, Rome; a brother, Cary Molock, Texas; 8 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 4 p.m. at the graveside in Northview Cemetery in Cedartown. The Rev. Steve Fetkenhour will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 2 until 3:30 p.m.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday by 3pm and include: David Grisham, Cary Molock, Steve Grisham, Jeremy Huggins and Chris McMillan.
Mr. Johnny Mack Reynolds, age 70, of the Everett Springs Community, passed away Friday August 4, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mr. Reynolds was born October 18, 1946, in Chattooga County, a son of the late Willie Lee Reynolds, and Myrtle Teems Reynolds. He was of the Baptist Faith, and retired from Floyd Medical Center after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Lee Reynolds, in addition to other siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Everett, daughters, Kellie (Casey) Cornwell, Rome; Jodie Garrison, Rome; grandchildren, Logan Cornwell, and Kayleigh Garrison, sister, Barbara Reynolds, Summerville; several nieces and nephews survived.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday August 8, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Dutton officiating. Interment will follow in Everett Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with Shanklin-Attaway Post Five Honor Guard conducting full military graveside rites. The family received friends Monday evening.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday: Steve Garrison, Jeff Coleman, Mike Jones, Scott Johns, Steve Cooper and Phil Thompson.
Gary David Ray, 64, of Rome passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born on March 20, 1953, in Rome to the late Albert H. Ray Sr. and the late Onah Mae Stancil Ray. Gary was a carpenter by trade who loved being outdoors and spending time with his family. Gary was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Al Ray Jr.; his sisters, Ann Cleland and Cokie Standridge; his brother-in-law, Kenneth Cleland; his sister-in-law, Brenda Ray and his father-in-law, Jim Whaley.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Angela Ray; his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Sheila Ray of Rome; his granddaughters, Amber (Lloyd) Hightower of Ohatchee, AL and Tabby (Preston) Alphin of Rome; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; his sister, Gyalia Ray of Covington; his brothers, Bobby Ray of Winston and Harold (Barbara) Ray of Felton; his mother-in-law, Marjorie Whaley of Rome and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Preston Alphin officiating.
