OUTLOOK

We saw a brief but intense storm move through Northwest Georgia between 4:30 and 6 p.m. Sunday with some power outages report.

There will be scattered to numerous thunderstorms each day, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. A few storms could
be strong to severe with the main hazards being gusty winds, frequent lightning and locally heavy rain.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 85. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. West wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Tuesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.
