From Bartow County Emergency Medical Service: Sunday afternoon, EMS along with other agencies responded to a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 411 and Hamilton Crossing Road. EMS had two ambulances respond. The crews quickly assessed all patients and requested Air Life 5 be en route for a male with severe head and chest trauma. The male patient was unconscious and unresponsive. EMS crew began treatment to the patient during extrication and continued treatment until Air Life arrived. The patient was flown to Grady Hospital. The second EMS crew found a female with an altered mental status and possible hip fracture. The female was transported to Floyd Medical Center. The third patient, a male, had abrasions to the face and also was transported to Floyd Medical Center. The individuals in the second vehicle advised they where OK and wished to not be transported to the hospital.
