Buzz: Facade improvements for Rome City Brewing expansion go before historical commission. Plus: Meet Coosa High’s new principal. Help wanted at two Sellers.

Rome’s Historic Preservation Commission meets at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to discuss an application from businessman Jay Shell and Rome City Brewing Co. ┬ápartner Dr. Trent Prault to make changes to the front and rear facades of 331 and 333 Broad St. It is part of their plan to expand Rome City Brewing to the former location of Shell’s first restaurant, 333 on Broad, as well as add a tasting room. The meeting will be held in the Carnegie Building.

Turrentine

Coosa High School will host a Meet and Greet this afternoon from 5 until 7 p.m. with the school’s new principal, LaDonna Turrentine. The event will be held in the cafeteria and is open to all. Turrentine most recently was principal of Johnson Elementary. She began her assignment at Coosa High on July 1. Background
